Eyelid Surgery

Typically, the cosmetic surgery procedure calls for incisions in the crease of your upper eyelids and along the lash line of the lower eyelids. After separating the skin from the fat and muscle underneath, the surgeon removes excess fat and, if necessary, excess skin as well. If you only need fat removed from your lower eyelids, and have fairly young, resilient skin, a different cosmetic surgery procedure called a transconjunctival blepharoplasty may be performed. Here, the incision is made inside the lower eyelid. After cosmetic surgery on your eyelids, it will take two or three days before you can read or watch TV, and you may be sensitive to light for several weeks. It is possible that you may have to go 24 hours or more not being able to see at all, until your bandages are removed. If you cannot cope with that idea, you may need to undergo the more time-consuming and expensive procedure of having each eye done at a different time.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty does not remove wrinkles, dark circles or a sagging brow. For this reason, eyelid surgery is commonly performed in conjunction with other facial cosmetic procedures such as brow lifts. Cosmetic eyelid surgery is right for many people, but it is not right for everyone. How does one know if blepharoplasty is right for them? A good candidate for blepharoplasty wants to restore a more youthful and rested appearance to their eyes. Droopy or baggy eyes communicate to others a sense of fatigue, disinterest, and senescence. Many people simply don t want their face to express to others these qualities when they feel quite the opposite about themselves. The best candidate for cosmetic eyelid surgery wants their appearance to better communicate their feelings of youth, energy, and vitality.   More on eyelid surgery blepharoplasty and blepharoplasty beverly hills
